Practice speaking German with instant AI feedback
German has a reputation for being hard to speak, mostly because of word order and cases. Both are learnable by repetition, and nothing repeats them faster than answering questions out loud.
What to focus on when speaking German
Cases
Articles change with their role in the sentence: “der Hund”, “den Hund”, “dem Hund”. Speaking quickly shows you which ones you still have to stop and think about.
Word order
The verb comes second in a main clause and moves to the end after “weil” or “dass”: “Ich lerne Deutsch, weil ich in Berlin arbeite.”
Separable verbs
“Anrufen” splits in two: “Ich rufe dich morgen an.” Remembering the second half at the end of a long sentence takes practice.
