Speech levels
The polite 해요 style is the safe default with people you don’t know well. Casual 반말 is for close friends. Keep one level throughout an answer.

은/는, 이/가 and 을/를 mark the topic, subject and object, and change form after a vowel or consonant. Speaking quickly shows which ones are automatic.
Connecting endings
Endings like -고 (“and”) and -아서/어서 (“so, because”) let you join ideas instead of speaking in short, separate sentences.
