Practice speaking Japanese with instant AI feedback
Japanese learners often spend a long time on reading and kanji before they speak. Answering simple questions out loud early builds the sentence patterns you need, one particle at a time.
What to focus on when speaking Japanese
Politeness levels
The same sentence changes with who you’re talking to: “食べます” (polite) or “食べる” (plain). Pick one style per answer and stay consistent.
Particles
は, が, を and に mark what each word does in the sentence. Choosing between は and が is a classic learner question, and speaking shows where you hesitate.
Verb at the end
The verb comes last, so you plan the whole sentence before you finish it. Short sentences joined with the て-form help you sound fluent sooner.
Example Japanese speaking topics
Spin the wheel and you might get one of these. Answer out loud for a minute or two.
A Memorable Journey
忘れられない旅行について話してください。
The Perfect Weekend
理想の週末はどんな週末ですか?
Culinary Traditions
子どもの頃に好きだった食べ物について教えてください。
Tip for Japanese learners
Link actions with the て-form (“朝起きて、コーヒーを飲んで、出かけます”) instead of many short sentences. It’s how people actually talk.
