Practice speaking Mandarin Chinese with instant AI feedback
Mandarin grammar is friendlier than many learners expect: no verb conjugations, no genders. The work is in vocabulary, word order and the small words that carry meaning. Speaking regularly makes them stick.
What to focus on when speaking Mandarin Chinese
Measure words
Numbers need a measure word before the noun: “一本书”, “一杯咖啡”, “两个人”. Using “个” for everything is understandable but sounds like a beginner.
了 and 过 instead of tenses
Mandarin marks completed actions and experiences with particles: “我吃了”, “我去过北京”. Talking about your past is the best practice for both.
Tones
Flunivo’s feedback is on the words and grammar of your answer, not your pronunciation, so pair it with listening practice for tones.

Tip for Mandarin Chinese learners
Use “我……过” to talk about things you have done (“我去过上海”). It’s one of the most useful patterns in conversation.
